Katie S. Gratz, PA-C
Physician Assistant-Certified
I received a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa in 2008. During college I worked as a CNA at a local nursing home and then at a hospice house for a year prior to attending Physician Assistant school. I completed my Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in June 2011. After graduation I worked at a community health clinic in Oquawka, Illinois for three years and then joined Family Medicine of Mt. Pleasant in October 2014.
My job at FMMP is to improve patient access to care, which means that you may see me if you are sick and your regular physician has a full schedule. I will work closely with your physician to make sure you get the best care possible as soon as possible. For those looking to establish care, I am also accepting patients of my own. I feel FMMP is a great fit for me . I love the fact that Family Practice enables me to take care of the entire family, from infants up to grandparents. I really enjoy getting to know my patients and watching their families grow. Originally from the Houghton area, I am very excited to be working closer to home helping those in the community near where I grew up.
