Grant S. Jansen, PA-C

Physician Assistant-Certified

It is hard to identify where my interest and love for medicine and science came from.  Perhaps it was the trips to the hospital where my mom worked and seeing doctors walking around in their white lab coats.  Maybe it was my fascination with biology and having a bug collection as a child.  Whatever the case, I know medicine is where I am meant to be.  My goal has always been to make a difference in the lives of others, and I feel like I am doing that every day here at Family Medicine.

I look forward to getting to know the people in the community in which I practice because, for me, that is what sets family medicine apart from other specialties.

I grew up in Cascade, Iowa (near Dubuque) and received my Bachelor’s at Central College in Pella, Iowa, graduating in 2012 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  I then went on to work as a CNA right out of school for about 1 year before working as a phlebotomist for another 3 years.    I graduated from Des Moines University in 2018 with a Master of Science degree and started working here at Family Medicine in February of 2019.
